Ad-free

Your inbox, without the ads

Yahoo Mail shows ads inside your message list, beside it and in pop-ups. RetroInbox hides all three, so you only see your own email.

No sponsored messagesThe ad rows that look like emails are removed from the list. Your messages move up into their place.
No ad banners on the sideThe column of ads next to your mail is gone, and the message list gets that space.
No promotional pop-upsPop-ups that advertise upgrades, apps or notifications are closed with their own "Not now" button. Nothing is accepted for you.
What changes

Everything in its old place

Ad-free
Sponsored rows in the message list, ad banners on the side and promotional pop-ups are all removed. This is on from the first minute.
The classic layout
Folders on the left, Today / Yesterday / Last week headings, compact rows without initials circles, and an Archive · Move · Delete · Spam bar with text labels.
Classic 2024 theme
The dark plum header and lavender buttons many people remember, plus light and dark themes or Yahoo's own colors, and an accent color of your choice.
One inbox
Hides the Priority, Offers and Newsletters tabs and keeps the "All" view, so every message is in one list. Your Yahoo settings stay as they are.
Easier to read
Text size Small, Normal or Large. Unread messages can stand out with a colored bar, and the sender's email address is shown next to the name.
13 languages
English, Română, Español, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, Português, 中文, 日本語, Indonesia, Tiếng Việt, Türkçe and Русский. Yahoo's own menus can be translated on your computer by Chrome's built-in translator.

Questions

Frequently asked

Does RetroInbox read my emails?

No. It changes colors, layout and labels on the page in your browser. Your messages are never copied, stored or sent anywhere by RetroInbox.

Does it change my Yahoo account or settings?

No. Your account, folders and Yahoo settings stay exactly as they are. Turn RetroInbox off and Yahoo Mail looks the way Yahoo designed it.

Which browsers does it work in?

Google Chrome on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS, on the desktop version of Yahoo Mail.

What happens when Yahoo changes its website?

We update RetroInbox so the classic look keeps working. Updates are included in the yearly plan. When a new version is ready, a small red 1 appears on the RetroInbox button; updating takes about a minute and your license stays as it is.

Can I move my license to another computer?

Yes. On the old computer, open the RetroInbox menu and click Release the license. Then paste your key on the new computer. If the old computer is no longer available, write to us and we will free your key.

How do I cancel?

Use the link in the receipt email from Lemon Squeezy, or write to us. RetroInbox keeps working until the end of the year you paid for, and you are not charged again.

Is RetroInbox made by Yahoo?

No. RetroInbox is an independent extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Yahoo.
